The Waterfront House B&B in Oughterard sits nestled right on the shores of the world famous fishing grounds - Lough Corrib, surrounded by the Hills of Connemara, just a short stroll along a winding country lane from Aughnanure Castle and the lovely Oughterard 18 hole Parkland golf course in the heart of the Irish countryside.

The Waterfront Bed & Breakfast was specially designed and built to suit the needs of guests looking for that memorable overnight stay and, with over twenty years experience in the business, Mary and Tom Walsh have come to know exactly what visitors expect.

All rooms have private en-suite with power shower, hairdryer and multi channel TV and are non-smoking. Wifi Broadband Internet Access is available throughout our home.

The rooms are bright and airy with orthopedic beds for a very comfortable nights sleep. We are situated at the end of a winding country lane in the middle of prime farming land on the shores of the Corrib, so the only noises that are likely to keep you awake would be that of Mother Nature Herself being busy.

Relax in our very comfortable and spacious sitting room with its large open fireplace and spectacular view over Lough Corrib.

The rooms to the front of the house are east facing and have panoramic views out over the lake. The rooms to the back face west having views of the Connemara Hills - over which, weather permitting, you can witness the most spectacular and dramatic sunsets imaginable.

Directions to the Waterfront House - Take the N59 (Galway to Clifden road), Depart the N59 at the Oughterard Golf Course, Take the Golf Course road, which is also the road to the Aughnanure Castle, Turn left 500 metres before the Castle, Follow the directional signs for the Waterfront House, Drive along the shore of Lough Corrib to the end of the road to the B&B.
